Belly dancing for 39 years

Favourite costume piece?
That is a difficult question to answer since I’ve had hundreds. My favourite costume of all time would have to be my old coin set made from real Saudi currency by Costless in San Francisco back in 1981. 🙂
Dark chocolate and espresso
Truth. I will keep this to Egyptian dance. I honour and respect tradition and I feel that I try my best to teach what I remember to be authentic. There are plenty of dancers creating fusion, some of us need to stick to the old style so that it won’t be forgotten and lost
I teach intense mini workshops once a month here in Toronto
Why did I start? It’s karmic for me. Why do I continue? Because it is part of my spirit and has been with me for a very long time.
Who inspires you?
Who inspires my life? My amazing daughter. Who inspires me to dance? The wonderful ladies that love my dance and won’t let me quit!
