Description:
Learn to isolate, shake,and undulate! Feel empowered in the celebration of your own body and femininity. We will learn beginner to elementary bellydance steps and work on fluid transitions from one step to the next. There is no previous training required. The class is based on Egyptian Bellydance technique. A delightful way to express yourself while getting a core and leg workout!

Christina Lee (Samara):
Samara began her Bellydance training with Yasmina Ramsy in 1997, and performed with the Arabesque Dance Company as a lead dancer for 13yrs. Her bellydance training brought her to Egypt and Turkey and she continues to study with professionals. She is a graduate of Ryerson University’s dance program, and is also trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Latin dance, Capoeira, and Flamenco.

With experience teaching children, adults and seniors, as well as special needs students. She has taught at elementary and high schools as well as various dance studios and gyms around Toronto including Flirtygirl Fittness and Toronto Dance Salsa. Fun and original classes include StoryBallet, Bellydance Bootcamp and Fusion Bellydance. She aspires to help her students celebrate their own body’s and express their own uniqueness.

Samara has appeared on film and TV, such as Toronto’s Got Talent and Rich Bride Poor Bride. She has performed in theatrical productions as well as Resorts in the Caribbean and other events around North America.
